Transportation

West Campus School Bus Transportation

Middle school students living west of I-25 to Sheridan, from 6th Ave south to Custer, will be provided DPS transportation. Students living east of I-25 and in the West Campus boundary within the 2.5-mile walk zone will not receive transportation.

High school students living west of I-25, from 6th to Custer, will receive transportation in the form of DPS transportation or RTD passes as determined by transportation policy. Students living east of I-25 and in the West Campus boundary within the 3.5-mile walk zone will not receive transportation.

Requesting An Exception for School Bus Transportation

Students who do live within the West Shared Boundary but do not meet the requirements to ride yellow bus or RTD can apply for a School Bus Transportation Exception.

Approval of your bus exception is granted if one the following criteria are met:

  • The student must be enrolled at West Generations, West Leadership or West Legacy
  • A student who lives outside the 2.5 mile NTZ (no transportation zone) and inside the school boundary.
  • A student who is eligible for a RTD pass according to board policy, but wishing to ride the yellow bus.
(The student must opt out of RTD pass program).
  • A high school student who has a sibling who receives transportation according to board policy for middle school, and wishes to ride the yellow bus.

The two maps below outline in English and Spanish the transportation zone for students attending West Leadership Academy.
