Día de los Muertos

November 1, 2019 By michael_stroh

11/2019

We remembered and honored those who have passed on while learning more about our cultural roots by participating in Día de los Muertos. Students, staff, alumni, and community members created ofrendas, drank hot chocolate, ate pan muerto, got their faces painted, and listened to storytellers. We also enjoyed performances by Grupo Tlaloc Danza Azteca, Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, and Mariachi Sol de Mi Tierra.

Avoid Summer Learning Loss

Reading ability tends to decline over the summer months. The best way for students to avoid summer learning loss is to continue reading even when school isn’t in session.
